Performance Physical Therapy serves Hebron and surrounding communities with physical therapy and personal training designed to help you return to normal naturally. Our therapists are specialty trained in orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology, hand therapy, manual therapy, lymphedema, and vestibular therapy.
Most insurance companies cover self-referral to physical therapy. Before your first visit, our administrative staff will check your benefits and let you know about any referral requirements.

PhD, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, CHT, COMT
Chris graduated from Quinnipiac University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He earned a Master of Science in Allied Health in 1998 and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut in 2007. In 2026, he completed a post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Montana. He is board certified in Orthopedic (OCS) and Sports Physical Therapy (SCS), a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), and a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). Chris supervises our Hebron office, serves as Administrator of our Medicare Rehabilitation Agency, and oversees our Sports Medicine Program. He is also certified in concussion rehabilitation as an ImPACT Trained PT. A lifelong athlete, Chris participated in football, lacrosse, wrestling, hockey, cycling, and biathlons. He helped establish local youth lacrosse programs and remains active as a high school and college lacrosse referee.

BS, PT, COMT
Jim Ferland graduated from the University of Vermont in 1989 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. He has extensive experience in neurology, orthotics and prosthetics, general rehabilitation, and orthopedics. Jim is trained in vestibular rehabilitation and specializes in treating benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). He has also completed concussion rehabilitation training with ImPACT Applications and is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). Jim brings extensive supervisory experience, including work in the outpatient physical therapy department at Gaylord Hospital. He supervises operations at our Colchester office and serves as Associate Administrator for our Medicare Rehabilitation Agency. A former adjunct professor at the University of Hartford, he currently coordinates clinical education for physical therapy students. A lifelong athlete, Jim played varsity basketball and cross country and remains active through cycling.

DPT, CLT, COMT
Dr. Samantha Huebner earned a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University. She began her career in a Women’s Health clinic, treating patients following breast cancer surgery and those affected by lymphedema. She has advanced training in corrective exercise during pregnancy and postpartum, as well as the treatment of pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Huebner is trained in IASTM–Graston Technique and is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). As a Certified Pilates Instructor, she also incorporates Pilates-based exercises into patient care. Outside the clinic, Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and two golden retrievers. A lifelong athlete and former equestrian and triathlete, she stays active through cycling, strength training, and Pilates.

DPT, MTC, CEAS, COMT
Dr. Mark Skinner earned his Master of Science from the University of Connecticut Physical Therapy Program in 2000 and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in 2007. He holds a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC), is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS), and is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). Dr. Skinner has extensive experience in orthopedic physical therapy. He practiced full time with PPTSM from 2000 to 2003, with primary responsibility for the Hebron office and affiliated student-athlete programs. He currently practices part time with our organization while also supervising and practicing full time in occupational health physical therapy. A former varsity soccer, basketball, and baseball player at East Hampton High School, Mark remains active by coaching his children in youth soccer.

DPT, COMT
Dr. Alexander Bartis earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Kinesiology with a focus on nutrition from the University of Alabama, where he played club soccer and later served as manager of the Women’s Rowing Team. He went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education. Since joining our practice, Alex has completed his Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) training. Alex’s passion for physical therapy began after experiencing a soccer injury in college, which sparked his interest in fitness, weightlifting, and human movement. He enjoys helping patients improve their quality of life, movement, and fitness through physical therapy. Born and raised in Wethersfield, Connecticut, Alex continues to enjoy an active lifestyle and has a strong passion for fitness and weightlifting.

DPT
Dr. Shea Frady earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from SUNY Potsdam, where she also played soccer. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Clarkson University. Shea’s passion for physical therapy began after watching her grandmother recover from a stroke through physical therapy. Her interest grew further after a high school soccer injury led her to experience physical therapy as a patient. With a lifelong passion for fitness and health, she enjoys helping others improve their movement and overall well-being. Born and raised in Upstate New York, Shea moved to Connecticut in 2024. Outside the clinic, she enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and being with her three Great Pyrenees.

BS, PTA
Bridget earned her Associate of Science through the Physical Therapist Assistant program at NVCC. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Leisure Management with a concentration in Exercise Science from ECSU. Bridget began her career at one of the state’s largest skilled nursing facilities, where she discovered her passion for working with the geriatric population. Before joining our practice, she also gained experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic and an independent senior living community. Outside of work, Bridget enjoys baking, crafting, and exploring local attractions with her family and their dog.
